Indonesia consists of multicultural and multilingual society as well as multi-religion. Its motto ‘unity in diversity’, has bind the 17,500 islands and inhabitants living together. Multi means it is not only coming from one identity, instead of having divers and unique cultural products, such as dance, musical instrument, song, literature and other kinds of cultural attractions to be shared and shown and performed.

Malaysia is also considered as multicultural country, since in the society there are mosaic of three races, Malay, Chinese and Indian, lying on it. It unified culture is something that only emerge on the country. Although this country is typically similar to Indonesia, but there must be something that making it different, and one of the way to prove it is by exchanging cultural performance.

Singapore lies at the tip of the Malay peninsula and its culture links to India, China, Malaysia and Indonesia. It gives Singaporeans orientations and loyalties stretching far beyond the national borders and identifies itself a homeland with wealth and stability.

CULTURE EXCHANGE EXPERIENCE

Indonesia is very big country yet rich indeed. Thousands of islands as home to numerous different ethnic groups, languages and religions. Each region has its own culture. Indonesia Student Cultural & Educational Foundation (ISCEF) invites students all over Indonesia to gather in a program and show the Indonesian Culture to the world.

Students will be given a chance to experience a culture exchange. Indonesian students perform the culture of their region (all over Indonesia) and students will watch the culture performance of the host country as an exchange. The performance including traditional music performance, traditional dances performance, traditional or national song or instrument performance, poetry reading, etc. in accordance with culture. Students will have the opportunity to have more understanding and appreciation of the nation’s culture.

Students will also explore the various aspects of community life in a different country. Witness from the firsthand the diversity of languages, culture, and technology from one country to another will make you more open-mind and able to adapt to various changes. Get a better understanding of the nation’s culture and appreciate it. Play an active role in preserving our culture, acknowledge their culture, introduce our culture and get immerse.

Arriving and Starting Program

Changi International Airport – Merlion Park – Marina Bay Sands – Johor Baru


When first stepping their feet on Changi International Airport, the students will be greeted by the committee and get airport assistance. The students will head to Merlion Park to expose Singapore landmark and get program briefing from the committee regarding to the cultural activities that they will go through during the program. After that, they will head to Marina Bay Sands and lead to Johor Baru for more remarkable cultural experience

Rehearsal and Cultural Performance and Exchange

Kuala Lumpur – ASWARA – Cocoa Boutique – MaTiC


Culturakadavra! The students will present their cultural perform in Akademi Seni Budaya dan Warisan Kebangsaan (ASWARA). Besides, they will also have cultural exchange session with the students of ASWARA, which is the only institution of higher learning in the field of performance arts that is supported entirely by the Government of Malaysia. The objectives of these activities are to provide students both performance experience and cultural exchange experience. After cultural performance, the students will head to Cocoa Boutique followed by moving Malaysia Tourism center to see Malaysian cultural performance and if they are lucky, they will be invited to collaborate with them.

Closing, Sharing and Airport Transfer

Istana Negara Malaysia – Dataran Merdeka – Kuala Lumpur International Airport


The students will also stop by in Istana Negara Malaysia dan Dataran Merdeka to explore more Malaysian culture, and after that, wonderful experiences are completely done. All students along with the committee will have a closing program and sharing session among them. They will share the experience, learn from others, and gain more knowledge.
