Indonesia as the largest archipelago, represent more than 17.000 island the home of various ethnic groups, religions, and languages, makes Indonesia as a multicultural also multilingual country. Its diverseness comes from variety of customs and traditions ranging from Sabang until Merauke. Numerous cultural products contain particular meanings that can be shared.

Malaysia Having three races as the inhabitants of the country, Malaysia is also considered as a multicultural country. The three races: Malay, Chinese, and Indian creates the new entity and new culture as they live alongside each other. Having similarity with Indonesia as a Malay Clumps the collaboration of different races emerges as the culture differentiator.

WORLD HERITAGE ERUDITION

Presenting Indonesian Culture abroad will increase a sense of appreciation towards our own and world culture and heritage. Performing Indonesian culture not only with other Indonesian but also Malaysian Culture with Malaysian students will bring out the international stage atmosphere. This culture collaboration would increase the awareness on the importance of culture and heritage of a country.

By interacting with the locals, one can learn about their way of life: their culture. Wide range of insight about several countries will also deepen the knowledge about our own culture as it can be compared to understand more about culture.

Experiencing the program with the people from across Indonesia, meeting the locals and the students also having an interaction and conversation with locals and the students from Malaysia will create a great opportunity to build new friendship. CULTURE EXCHANGE EXPERIENCE

Indonesia is a great nation complete with cultural richness that emerges from thousands of islands as the home to the large amount of different ethnic groups, languages and religions as every region has its own culture shaped from the customs and traditions. Indonesia Student Cultural & Educational Foundation (ISCEF) invites students all across Indonesia to join an exciting program and show the Indonesian Culture to the world.
Students will be given the opportunities to experience a cross cultural understanding through a culture exchange. Indonesian students perform the culture of their region (all over Indonesia) and students will have the chance to observe the cultural performance of the host country as an exchange. Cultural performance that will be presented abroad includes traditional music performance, traditional dances performance, traditional or national song or instrument performance, poetry reading, etc. Thus, the students will get deeper understanding and appreciation of the nation’s culture.
Students will also explore the various aspects of life of the people in a different country. Witness and experience the diversity of languages and culture from neighboring country. It allows the students to be more open-minded to the changes in global era also allows the students to get a better understanding of the nation’s culture and appreciate it more by playing an active role in preserving our culture, introducing our culture and appreciating the culture of other country.

INDONESIA – MALAYSIA  2019

Arriving and Starting Program

Kuala Lumpur International Airport – Putrajaya – Petronas Twin Tower


The journey begins from the arrival at Kuala Lumpur International Airport, the students will be welcomed by the committee and get airport assistance. Heading to Putrajaya, the students will have the opportunity to observe the famous late 20th century architectural buildings. The next destination is the iconic Petronas Twin Tower where all the students will also get program briefing from the committee regarding all of the cultural activities during the program.

ASWARA – Batu Cave – Petaling Street – Central Market


Participants will have Rehearsal of their Cultural Performance and Exchange Kuala Lumpur then head to Akademi Seni Budaya dan Warisan Kebangsaan (ASWARA). Then move to Batu Cave to explore the famous cave temple. After that the journey continues to Petaling Street, the Chinatown of Malaysia, and the last, the students will have the chance to visit another cultural heritage site, Central Market.

Rehearsal – MATIC – Istana Negara – Dataran Merdeka


Participants will have Rehearsal of their Cultural Performance and Exchange Kuala Lumpur then head to Malaysia Tourism Centre (MATIC), the one and only higher education of performing arts that is supported exclusively by the Government of Malaysia under the Ministry of Culture and Tourism Malaysia support. The last day there will be a closing ceremony and sharing session for all participants; sharing experiences, learning from other participants, and enriching knowledge about culture then followed by visiting Istana Negara Malaysia and Dataran Merdeka to discover more of Malaysian culture.

The last day there will be a closing ceremony and sharing session for all participants; sharing experiences, learning from other participants, and enriching knowledge about culture, the participants will go to Kuala Lumpur International Airport, wrapped up the extraordinary cultural exchange experience.
