CULTURE EXCHANGE EXPERIENCE

Indonesia is very big country yet rich indeed. Thousands of islands as home to numerous different ethnic groups, languages and religions. Each region has its own culture. Indonesia Student Cultural & Educational Foundation (ISCEF) invites students all over Indonesia to gather in a program and show the Indonesian Culture to the world.

Students will be given a chance to experience a culture exchange. Indonesian students perform the culture of their region (all over Indonesia) and students will watch the culture performance of the host country as an exchange. The performance including traditional music performance, traditional dances performance, traditional or national song or instrument performance, poetry reading, etc. in accordance with culture. Students will have the opportunity to have more understanding and appreciation of the nation’s culture.

Students will also explore the various aspects of community life in a different country. Witness from the firsthand the diversity of languages, culture, and technology from one country to another will make you more open-mind and able to adapt to various changes. Get a better understanding of the nation’s culture and appreciate it. Play an active role in preserving our culture, acknowledge their culture, introduce our culture and get immerse.

‘The Identity of a Nation Lies Within Its Culture’’

INDONESIA – SINGAPORE – MALAYSIA – THAILAND 2018

Masjid Sultan – Merlion Park – Helix Bridge – Song of the Sea – Marina Bay Sands


Participants will fly from Indonesia to Changi Airport, Singapore. After arriving in Singapore, participants and committees will meet and have an airport assistance and opening ceremony. Participants will be guided to have a Singapore city tour to Masjid Sultan and Merlion Park as the landmark of Singapore and a major tourist attraction. Here, participants can learn about the fantastic Singaporean legend story. After that, participants will also visit the largest fountain in the world, Fountain of Wealth, and the phenomenal Helix Bridge. Helix Bridge or also known as Double Helix bridge is a bridge that resembles the shape of DNA strand. It is an amazing pedestrian connection across the head of the Singapore River. To close the night, participants will also have an exploration to Marina Bay Sands to see the adorable architectural masterpieces and enjoy the Song of The Sea attraction before check-in to hotel.

Garden by the bay – Mustafa Centre – Chinatown – Kuala Lumpur


In this 2nd day, participants will start their agenda by visiting Garden by the Bay and Mustafa. In Mustafa Centre, participants can enjoy one of Singapore’s favorite 24-hour shopping malls which offers all kinds of products with affordable prices. Afterwards, participants will be guided to go a Chinatown Discovery and having an educational challenge. After that, participants will go to Kuala Lumpur to have the next ISCEF exploration.

ASWARA – Cocoa Boutique – Petronas Twin Tower


After arriving in Malaysia, participants along with the committees will visit Aswara which is the only institution of higher learning in the field of performance arts that is supported entirely by the Government of Malaysia. Here, participants will have a discussion and culture exchange. In addition, they can show their art performances to the public so that Indonesian cultures will be known worldwide. After that, participants will go to Cocoa Boutique followed by moving to hotel for check-in and taking some rest. In the evening, participants will be invited to explore Malaysian iconic majesty Petronas Twin Tower.

Istana Merdeka – Central Market – Petaling Street – Transfer to Bangkok


Participants will be invited to visit Istana Merdeka which is the residence of the supreme king of Malaysia. Besides that, participants also go to discover Petaling Street and Central Market to analyze the economic and social way of Malaysian and international people. Here, participants can also have a market analysis to know more about business opportunity. After exploring Malaysia, participants will be transferred to Bangkok to have the next ISCEF exploration.

Silpakorn University – Wat Arun – Chao Praya – Asiatique Market


In this morning, they will be invited to go to Silpakorn University, a national university in Thailand. There, participant will be welcomed for attending discussion forum and cultural exchange with Silpakorn University students, and have a campus tour to learn more about Thailand educational atmosphere and student activities. After that, participants will be invited to visit Wat Arun, one of the most stunning temples in Thailand, and going to have an exploration in Chao Praya which plays an important role in Thai daily life. Participants will be also guided to learn about Bangkok economic society by discovering the most upscale night market in Bangkok, Asiatique Market.

Closing Ceremony in Bangkok – Indonesia


In the last day, participants willhave a closing ceremony and preparation for coming back to Indonesia. Eventually, participants will fly to Indonesia and arrive safely with wonderful experiences.
