4-day Capacity Building Training for National Partners focused on the Prevention of Sexual Exploitation, Abuse and Harassment (PSEAH)
The training strengthened the capacity of National NGOs to prevent, identify, report and respond effectively to PSEAH concerns, while ensuring that survivors receive the dignity, compassion, confidentiality and support they deserve.
The training explored critical issues including gender inequality and power imbalances as root causes of exploitation and abuse; the psychological impact of abuse and trauma on survivors; survivor-centred approaches that prioritize dignity, consent, confidentiality, safety and informed choice; PSEAH policies, standards and reporting obligations, safe and confidential complaint and reporting mechanisms; survivor-sensitive investigation procedures; risk assessment and safety planning; referral pathways for medical, psychosocial, legal and protection services; community-based complaint mechanisms (CBCM); the Do No Harm principle and Accountability to Affected Populations (AAP).
